Natural Beauty Salon

Treasure Nabakiibi

Nairobi Kenya

Treasure Nabakiibi, a queer refugee residing in Nairobi, Kenya, envisions a beauty salon as more than just a place for aesthetic enhancement. With a fervent commitment to creating opportunities for marginalized communities, particularly queer mothers, Treasure aims to establish a sanctuary where empowerment and inclusivity flourish.

As a graduate of the TDA (Tressure’s Dream Academy), Treasure embodies the resilience and determination necessary to turn her vision into reality. Her salon serves as a platform for skill training, economic independence, and community building within the queer mother demographic.

Through the art of hairdressing, Treasure not only transforms appearances but also fosters a sense of belonging and self-worth among queer parents. By providing a safe space for expression and skill development, her salon becomes a catalyst for meaningful impact, empowering individuals to embrace their identity and contribute to their own economic well-being.

Treasure’s passion project exemplifies the transformative power of entrepreneurship in uplifting marginalized communities, paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable society.
